Who – Why?

My name is Chio Maisriml and I have designed the Hoverster.
Why?

Because I wanted to create a 3D-game the way I want to play it: Simple, fast, cute colours, funny. I for myself hate it to start again from the beginning after each mistake. I don’t want to buy any additional tuning parts for virtual cars and I will not bash the keyboard with my 8-finger-claw.

I am NOT a "gamer".
I want to race as fast as I can – unpunished.

Such games are unsually not developed by a single person in their spare time - but are developed for money by companies and agencies.
Therefore I made a clear concept – in which some things are not included, but some other things therefore are.
I spent a lot of time on the controls, those had to be simple and should work well. I spent less time on individual hassocks to create “real” landscapes (strictly speaking, there is not even a single hassock to see. With that speed you wont see them anyway ;-)

Speed you can FEEL.

Therefore also the camera adjusts to the curves and rumbles over the soil. Therefore there is no intro, the preloader works as fast as possible. Therefore it might occur that the Hoverster drives straight through a rock, because the rock was not computed in time. I also put my focus on the music/noises and worked on that very carefully. (and: I am a licensee ;-) There is no volume control, you should have that somewhere on your PC.
