FAQs
- Do I need a fast internet connection? How much do I have to load?
Cable or DSL should do it. The preloader loads all files at the beginning which are necessary for all the areas: In total approx. 1.4 MB. The areas themselves are sized between 300kb and 1Mb and are only loaded when you play them.
- Why does the preloader sometimes starts two times?
At the first time the preloader really loads the stuff, with the second time it examines if the data is really there, this will take a few seconds.
- Why is my Hoverster thrown back suddenly, if I drive somewhere along?
This happens occasionally when driving on the dunes - when the difference in altitude is underestimated: The Hoverster drills itself into the sand, if you drive like the devil over the dunes. The same thing happens also when driving on rocks, but there one can see better because the structure is easier to recognise.
- Why is there no map of the racing routes ?
Of course there is a map - I know each landscape by heart; -). The courses are twisted and bent and partially they consist of several layers. A map wont help you but will only confuse you.
- Some of the levels run quickly, others are very slowly - why?
Actually the newest hardware is not necessarily presupposed for the Hoverster. Some 3D-features are not supported by some graphic controllers, there are e.g. graphic controllers who don’t cope with large polygons. Others want exactly that. Peculiar, but true. Some ATI-mobile cards can also have troubles.
- That scenes do not look like "Total Brainkill VI" - where can I adjust that?
Put a pencil into your left ear and turn it 6x in the right ear (in each case 360°). If it hurts, terminate the Hoverster and start "Total Brainkill VI". You will see: A benefit! (leave the pencil in!)
- Where is the fire-key?
F. – but you wont see nothing.
